Hi all, I just made the switch from automatic to sequential gearbox as the auto was making things pretty dull now I have half an idea what I'm doing. I drive a manual (stick) IRL, but due to money/space issues there's no gaming wheel/pedals/shifter on the horizon anytime soon, so I make do with an xbox 1 controller and sequential will have to do.

Transmission gear ratios are expressed as Engine Revs:Output Shaft Revs. As such a 15:1 gear ratio will mean 15 revolutions of an engine for 1 revolution of the transmission output shaft. Overdrive gears are when the engine revolutions are less than the output shaft (i.e. a 0.75:1 overdrive gear will mean the engine turns 3/4 a revolution for 1
At least you keep some controls over the speed engaged. " Welcome to automatic, the gearbox where the inclines are made up and the torque doesn't matter ". #2. Spc Johnson Dec 19, 2014 @ 10:54am.
