I was driving a 65bhp petrol powered Hyundai i10 previously (wife's car) in which 60mph in top gear is 3000rpm. On the Cee'd 60mph is something like 1800rpm in 6th gear, but I would not have thought the engine could run so slowly while fighting all that drag. So although I _mostly_ agree with your comment, it was very useful while learning the car.
Reverse and 1st gear problems Ceed. 2013 Ceed 1.6 diesel with 64000 on the clock. Clutch pedal barely needs lifting before the car moves. No slipping or high revs. Clutch pedal feels normal, not stiff but not soft. Firms up almost as soon as I out my foot on the pedal. Stiff gear change. Hi, I have a Kia Optima 1.6 CRDI 14 plate which I purchased 4 yrs ago. Great car to drive, but from day one I felt changing gear was not as smooth as it should be, infact my Berlingo van was a lot smoother!!
